CHESTER will complete the loan signing of the Exeter striker Jake Edwards later today, who is expected to make his debut in Sunday's derby match against Wrexham at the Racecourse.
The experienced targetman, who will join his new team-mates for training tomorrow, has experience with Black-pool, Yeovil Town, as well as this weekend's opponents, Wrexham.
City manager Mark Wright said last night: "Jake is the sort of big targetman who will give us extra options up front, he has a good pedigree and his experience will be invaluable for us. I would like to thank the Exeter manager Alex Inglethorpe for his assistance with this transfer. I am still searching for possibly one more addition, so we will just have to see what develops in the next 48 hours."
The loan transfer deadline falls tomorrow at 5pm.
Meanwhile, writer, broadcaster, and television producer, Charles Lambert, has been voted onto the committee of the Chester City Independent Supporters Association. Lambert, a lifelong City fan, said: "The ISA has pledged that it will continue to lead a positive type of support for the club between now and the end of the season. We are calling on all Chester supporters to rally behind the play-ers and do everything possible to assist the club in preserving its Football League status."
