Chester FC have finalised their pre-season fixtures with a game against League One champions Wigan Athletic.

The Latics, who will be a Championship club in 2016-17, will visit the Lookers Vauxhall Stadium on Wednesday, July 13 (7.45pm).

Wigan suffered relegation in 2014-15 but bounced back to the second tier at the first attempt, finishing two points above runners-up Burton Albion.

Gary Caldwell's side will return to training at the club's new base on June 23 before flying to Portugal for a warm weather training camp in early July.

The first match back in the UK will be the trip to Chester so Caldwell is likely to field a strong line-up for the game.
