Chester FC v Lincoln City – Vanarama National League
When and where?
Saturday, October 10 (3pm) at Lookers Vauxhall Stadium, Chester
What has Jon McCarthy had to say about it?
The Blues assistant boss told The Chronicle: "Lincoln have a striker who's scored 10 goals and they'll be 4-4-2 and we've come across that a lot more this season.
"It's something we're aware of and we do like to play our three against that. The gaffer will consider the 4-4-2 and we've talked about both.
"We understand how to play against that and it's about getting the players in the right place with the right application and I've no doubt they will after Tuesday's disappointment.
"If we win Saturday then we'll have taken six points from nine and we've got Southport and Halifax coming up, which are games we will attack."
Any team news?
Combative midfielder Luke George will again be missing with a troubling thigh problem and there are doubts over left-back Johnny Hunt and winger Craig Mahon, both of whom missed training on Thursday.
Craig Hobson has recovered from a dead leg and should feature, possibly taking the place of Kane Richards after he failed to build on his goal against Wrexham in the loss at Barrow on Tuesday night.
Tell me about Lincoln City...
Having been relegated from the Football League at the end of the 2011-12 season, the Imps have failed to challenge for a return to the 92 in the four seasons that followed and have yet to register a top-half finish.
But a solid run of form of late, which has seen them win three of their last four games, has propelled manager Chris Moyses' side into 10 place. And with 10-goal striker Matt Rhead in red-hot form, their is optimism among the Lincoln hierarchy that this could be the season where they challenge for a play-off spot.

What does Lincoln's form over the past 10 games look like?
What happened the last time the two sides met?
A Sean McConville goal four minutes before half-time earned Chester a 1-0 win at Sincil Bank on Valentine's Day this year.
McConville converted Oliver McBurnie's cross to hand the Blues the three points and end Lincoln's seven-match winning run at home. It was the second time that the two sides had met in three weeks, with Chester running out 4-0 winners in the reverse fixture on January 27. John Rooney, McConville, Ryan Higgins and Brad Abbott were the scorers on that occasion as the Imps finished the game with nine men.
Since Chester reformed back in 2010 the Blues have met the Imps four times and have yet to taste defeat. Two wins and two draws give Chester the upper hand in the head to head.
