Chester FC have announced a pre-season game with Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers and slashed admission prices for all home friendlies.

Wolves boss Kenny Jacket will send a team to the Swansway Chester Stadium on Tuesday, August 5.

It will be the final game before the two clubs kick off the 2014-15 season meaning there will be plenty of interest from both sets of supporters.

In a commendable move, Blues officials have confirmed admission to the game and all other home pre-season fixtures will be £5 for adults and free for under 18s.

Crewe Alexandra are the visitors on July 19 and Premier League club Burnley provide the opposition on July 22.

Trips to Marine on July 12, Upton AA on July 15, Stalybridge Celtic on August 2 and games still to be finalised at Witton Albion and Newcastle Town complete the pre-season schedule.

Manager Steve Burr has thrown his support behind the decision to reduce admission prices for the home games.

He said: “I’m delighted the board have agreed to these reduced prices for pre season and hopefully plenty of people will come down and watch.”

Burr and his squad will take part in an open training session at the Swansway Chester Stadium from 4pm on August 7.

Following the session, the team will be in the Blues Bar for a question and answer sessions and to meet supporters.
