The delayed National League match between Chester FC and Boreham Wood is expected to kick-off at 3.45pm.

Traffic problems mean the game, which was scheduled to kick-off at 3pm as normal, was held up after the visitors ran into delays having left North London this morning.

A provisional kick-off time was fixed for 4pm however that was dependent on the Wood arriving at the Lookers Vauxhall Stadium in time.

That was then pushed back to 4.30pm with the team coach not expected to reach the ground until 4.25pm.

However, shortly after 3pm club officials confirmed the arrival time had been brought forward to 3.25pm.

Boreham Wood's players are getting changed on the coach and the match was fixed for a 3.45pm kick-off.

League rules permit visiting teams to preparation time once at the ground.

With the end of the season fast approaching, there are limited options for agreeing a new date so the clubs and referee Jason Whiteley were in regular contact with the National League to give the game the best possible chance of going ahead.
