Chester FC have signed goalkeeper Freddy Hall for the 2014-15 campaign.

Bermudan international Hall, 29, has been training with the club throughout pre-season and has done enough to earn himself a deal.

He will now compete with summer signing Jon Worsnop for the number one spot with last season's first choice John Danby unable to commit to the club's new training model due to work commitments.

Hall ended last season with League Two side Burton Albion, whom he joined in March on a short-term basis.

He grew up in his homeland but moved to the USA as a teenager and attended the University of South Florida and Quinnipiac University in Connecticut, winning a number of NCAA awards.

He then joined Bermuda Hogges in the USL Premier Development League before spending the 2011-12 season with Northampton Town, making two Football League appearances for the Cobblers.

Hall has won six caps for Bermuda and made his debut in 2011 against Trinidad and Tobago.
