CHESTER City’s very existence is in danger after the Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) which allowed the club to exit administration was revoked in a Manchester court yesterday.

The decision by Judge Pelling QC, following an objection by HM Revenue & Customs, means City have been left in limbo just 10 days before the start of the season.

Even if the Blues do begin the new campaign, they will do so having not played a pre-season friendly as tomorrow night’s visit of Burnley and Saturday’s trip to Droylsden have been cancelled.
