James McIntosh netted four goals and Tom Smith one as the defending champions just got the better of an Upton side who also had a man sent-off. Mick Gerrard (2) and James Simmons reduced the arrears.

Saltney Social Club (Sam Buckley 3, Nathan Jones 2, Chris Bailey, Josh Keir, Aden Callaghan) maintained their 100% winning start with an 8-2 home victory over AFC Werburgh’s as Legends Sports Bar (Lee Bennion 2) won 2-1 at home to Dee Rangers.

Chester Chronicle Section B leaders AFC Lache (Carl Day 2, Jamie Kelly, Mattie Tarbuck, Joey Waters, Wesley Smallwood, Declan McHugh) came from behind to edge a thriller 7-6 at home to Tattenhall.

Second-placed Custom House (Dale Harris, Josh Leary 2, OG) were 4-0 winners at Grosvenor Arms while third-placed Spital Vaults (Craig Boggin, Joey Waldo, Andrew Robinson) won 3-1 at home to Red Door.

Tarvin Rex (Matt Edwards, Ben Groom) drew 2-2 at FC Bull & Stirrup (Dale Young, Carl Fowlie) while it finished 0-0 between Egerton Arms and Hickory’s. Waverton (Ryan Farrell 2, Dean Phoenix, Daniel Cavender) were winning 4-3 at AFC HIlton (Mick Murray 2, Denver Burke) when the match was abandoned due to a serious injury.
