VICARS Cross Dynamos are the early pacesetters in Chester & District Sunday League Concorde Trophies Section A after their 4-2 win at AFC Werburgh’s on Tuesday.

Ben Billington and Liam Gough bagged braces for the Dynamos with Jason Lucas and Michael Sirrett offering the Werburgh’s replies.

Legends Sports Bar (Luke Hughes 2, Scott Chard, Alfie Cheers) beat Elton Rigger 4-2 as Dee Rangers (John Wainwright, Ben Lima) drew 2-2 with Saltney Ferry (Kevin Garland 2).

Garland scored twice again and Tom Rowlands once as the Ferrymen secured a sweet 3-1 home victory over Corner Pin LG (James McIntosh) on Sunday.

Vicars Cross (Gough 2, Danny Andrews 2, Mark Thompson, Chris Williams, Sean Finch, Billington, OG) thrashed Highfield Athletic (Sam Henry) 9-1.

In Chester Chronicle Section B AFC Lache beat 10-man Waverton, for whom Ryan Farrell equalised and then saved a penalty after his goalkeeper was sent-off, 2-1. Gary Day put the hosts in front and 16-year-old Declan McHugh scored their winner.

Spital Vaults (Stan Platt, Graham Rowland) triumphed 2-1 at Egerton Arms before losing 1-0 at second-placed Tattenhall on Tuesday.

Leaders Lache (Joe Waters, Day, Matty Tarbuck) won 3-1 at home to Egerton (Steve Massey) as third-placed Custom House (Alex Grant 2, Andy Riddle, Dale Harris) sent Waverton (George Farrell, Dean Phoenix) packing 4-2.

FC Bull & Stirrup were 8-0 winners at Grosvenor Arms and Hickory’s (Ed Thomas) drew 1-1 at home to AFC Hilton.
