Third-placed Chester Nomads Seconds suffered an unexpected set-back when they slumped to a 2-0 home defeat by Barrow.

Andy Blackwell's goal was only a consolation for Barrow Seconds in a 4-1 home defeat by Bank of Scotland and Steve Mc-Cabe, Simon Whelan (2) and Dave Rogers netted for Kelsall in a 4-2 home win over Team Highfield (Lee Coote, Gary Ellams).

In an exciting end to the Tom Gerraghty Memorial Trophy match between local rivals Frodsham United and Frodsham United Reserves it was the second string who got through on penalties after a 2-2 normal time draw.
