CHESTER Nomads twice came from behind to win a thrilling Chester & District FA Senior Cup semi-final with Christleton 3-2 at Cheshire County Officers on Tuesday.
The West Cheshire League Division Two side were a goal behind at the break and during the second half, but fought back to seal their place in the final on Friday week against Upton AA at Christleton’s Little Heath home (6.15pm).
Ilya Haycock, Kieron Smith and Barry Caulfield netted for Nomads, whose winner came two minutes from time, after Danny Harris and Steve Finlay put the Swans in front.
Christleton had booked their place in the last four by winning their reinstated quarter-final clash 1-0 at Blacon Youth Club on Friday with a last-gasp Finlay strike.
Danny Davies had earlier missed a penalty for Christleton, who won their penultimate West Cheshire League Division One match of the season 2-0 at home to Castrol Social last Wednesday. Davies got the goals.
Relegated Blacon Youth Club completed their campaign with a 1-1 draw at Ellesmere Port on the same night.
