GEN Chems brushed aside the threat from their Mid-Cheshire League challengers in this Cheshire Amateur Cup second-round tie.
It took 10 minutes for the Runcorn team to open the scoring as Robbie Moore shot home from a corner by Gary Lunt.
The Crewe side had little to offer in reply but battled well to keep the scoreline down.
On the half hour, midfielder Terry Ellams made it two for Chemics, stroking home Kevin Ward's cross from close range.
In the second half the home team should have increased the lead but chances were missed by Tyrrell, Ward and Ellams.
Kevin Ward was man-of-the-match for the Chemics who were so on top that keeper Matty Blair didn't have to make a save.
Chemics now look forward to the visit of Heswall for a West Cheshire League fixture this Saturday (ko 2pm).
The next round of the Cheshire Cup is on Saturday November 29.
