HALTON Grange Puritans U13s marched into the Halton & District Junior League's Hampson Cup final with a 2-0 verdict over Heath Park.
Heath started the brighter but couldn't make their chances tell.
The second half saw Grange come more into it and with the game evenly poised they stunned Heath with two good goals - the second an unstoppable 20-yard free-kick from Nathan Cheetham.
Halton Villa came within a whisker of holding highly-fancied Inter Union U10s in the A Woodward Cup semi-final but succumbed 1-0 to a last-minute goal.
Villa hadn't come to defend and had Inter on the back foot from the outset.
But they were finally beaten when Chris Ellams' shot was charged down and the rebound was headed home by birthday boy Jack Doolan from five yards out.
Despite blustery conditions, Inter U11s saw off battling Pex Hill Pumas 5-1 in the Halton Lea Shopping Centre League.
This left them closer to a third title success in as many seasons -a first-half hat-trick by Josh Archer leading the way.
New addition Sam McLean has fitted in well and had a hand in Inter's fourth by Lewis Boult.
Pex Hill always threatened and after a speculative shot had been spectacularly saved by Patrick Tyrrell, Inter's defenders were caught wrong-footed as the rebound went in.
Any comeback hopes were dashed when Archer netted his fourth and Inter's fifth.
Halton Grange U14s reached the T Humphries Cup semis as 7-1 winners over Brookvale United. Their goals came from Scott Hucks (3), Jack Dylan (2), Sam Lowe and Dan Moores.
Norton Knights Colts made it 22 points from the last 24 on offer with a 3-2 win over Moorfield Juniors thanks to Adam Collins (2) and Tony Murphy.
