DO you want to be a mascot for a Runcorn FC Halton match?

Or do you want to attend every match for free by becoming a ball boy?

If so, then the Linnets Independent Supporters Trust (LIST) wants to hear from you.

LIST has agreed to take over from Runcorn Football Club in supplying the mascot and ball boys at all home matches from early 2005.

This falls in line with the Trust's policy of trying to get youngsters more interested in the football club.

Martin Fallon, LIST's communications officer, said: 'The football club have approached us to do this because we can provide somebody whose only duty on match days will be to look after the youngsters.

'This will hopefully lead to them enjoying the matchday experience more.

'Mascots will receive a goody pack from the Trust as a memento of their day.

'This will contain various items supplied by the football club, a certificate, and an offer to join the Trust for free so that they have first choice on future LIST activities.

'We will also take a photograph of the mascot before the match as a keepsake of their day and forward this to them.

'We are also looking for about 10 to 12 youngsters up until the age of 14 to become regular ball boys for the football club.

'For this they will get to watch the match for free and also receive refreshments at half-time.

'The club currently ask a local junior football team to carry out the ball boy duties.

'We are therefore looking into how we can accommodate these at matches so that they do not lose out, and hope to announce something soon.'
