CARLSBERG West Cheshire League Division Once champions Vauxhall Reserves secured their first win in 13 outings on Saturday as they moved out of the bottom two with a 4-1 victory over Aintree Villa, thanks to a Dave Davies hat-trick and Ryan Crawford strike.
Division Three basement dwellers Grange Athletic put their poor league form behind them as they defeated Manchester League Premier Division leaders Wilmslow Albion 3-2 in the Cheshire Amateur Cup second round.
Efforts from Peter Reynolds, Peter Martin and an own goal saw the Stan-ney Grange-based side progress.
Ellesmere Port bowed out of the competition, losing 2-0 at Bollington Athletic, but Neil Clarke fired in an extra-time winner for Castrol Social as they edged out Christleton 2-1, while Robbie Sheppard hit their first goal.
Tom Coan and Ian Cross were on target for Willaston but it was to no avail as Knutsford ran out 4-2 winners, while there was similar woe for Capenhurst Villa who went down 4-2 at Poulton Victoria despite efforts from Nick Cushing and Chris Dodds.
Division Three action saw Ellesmere Port Reserves crash 5-0 at MBNA and Capenhurst Villa Reserves go down 6-1 to Mersey Royal.

West Cheshire Bowl quarter-final (1.30pm): Capenhurst Villa v Blacon YC. The West Cheshire League play the Mid-Cheshire League at Barnton FC's Townfield ground on Saturday (1.45pm) in the second round of the FA National League System Cup.
