Best derby memory:

“There are so many great memories of derby matches, but possibly my favourite came when the jesters came and presented me with a clown’s face and we ended up beating the Toffees 3-1 at Goodison.”

Worst derby memory:

“Any time you get beat, of course. But being on the scoreboard at Wembley as a goalscorer for Everton when we lost 1-0 in the Charity Shield (in 1984) would probably be the worst.”

Toughest derby opponent:

“Graeme Sharp was my toughest opponent from Everton, we constantly had personal battles with each other. He wanted to score so badly and I never wanted him to score. Simple!”

Best derby save:

“Well, there are too many to tell all (laughs), but the one at Wembley in the FA Cup final (1986) to deny Sharp’s header after a terrible mistake by Alan Hansen was my favourite!”
