THE Motormen registered their second successive victory on Saturday to take a giant step towards Conference North safety.
The victory at Croft Park not only maintained the Motormen's 100% record at the ground, but lifted them to 14th.
Motors fell behind on the hour when Chris McCabe followed up his initial shot, which had been saved by Sean Lake, to score at the second attempt.
Six minutes later, valiant Vauxhall were back on level terms. Brian Moogan lofted a corner to the back post where Joe McMahon headed
against the post, but followed it up to put the ball over the line.
On 76 minutes, Moogan and McMahon combined again to score an almost identical goal from a corner. This time the header went straight in, affording the two-goal defender hero status as the league campaign draws to an exciting close.
Vauxhall: Lake, Moogan, Dames (Jones 78), Griffiths, McNulty, McMahon, Nesbitt, Smith (Field 69), Rooney, Wright, Woodyatt. Subs: O'Hare, Garrity, Macauley.
