VAUXHALL Motors are offering free entry to fans who witnessed Saturday’s dismal 6-2 home loss to Blyth Spartans.

Carl Macauley’s struggling side host Blue Square North basement boys Redditch United this Saturday (3pm) – and admission will be free for any supporter who produces a copy of the Blyth matchday programme at the turnstiles.

Club chairman Alan Bartlam called the offer a ‘small gesture’ to the small but loyal band of fans who have stuck by the club.

Injury-hit Motors have lost their last six matches, with the Blyth reverse being their most painful yet as they let a two-goal lead – given to them by Obi Anoruo and Leighton McGivern – slip through their fingers in a shocking second half.

Tarporley Victoria pulled away from the Cheshire League Division One danger zone on Saturday with a welcome 2-1 home win over Styal.

Richie Moss and Henry Buckley netted for Vics, for whom Ryan Broadhead was the man of the match.

Malpas lost 3-1 at home to Rudheath Social in Division Two.
