ONE quality Liverpool new boy Fabio Borini certainly isn’t lacking is confidence.

After joining Swansea on loan from Chelsea in March 2011, the young striker was asked which player he likened himself to.

“Inzaghi,” was the swift reply. Asked whether he meant Milan legend Filippo or the less distinguished Simone of Lazio fame, he responded: “The one who scored the most goals.”

Borini added: “I have got some things from him because I have watched him so much.

“I like Inzaghi and the way he celebrates goals, even if they are winning 6-0. I have always been a striker and I like to score goals.

“If I don’t score but play well I am sad because I haven’t scored. If I play bad and I score, I am happy because I scored.”

Borini was a big hit in Wales and a desire to be reunited with Brendan Rodgers was key to him leaving Roma.

“I like the way Brendan teaches football, the way he treats people and the attitude he puts towards training,” he said during his stint with the Swans. “It’s the right mix for a positive environment.
