THE story of how Liverpool won the FA Cup after a 73-year wait and then lost part of the trophy within a couple of hours will be told by four Anfield legends on stage in Southport later this month.
Ian St John, the match winner that historic day in 1965 when Leeds were beaten in extra time, recalls the sequence of events along with Ian Callaghan, Chris Lawler and Ron Yeats in Tales Of The Anfield Legends at Southport Theatre on Friday, April 20.
The quartet join presenter John Keith to reveal the inside stories behind their favourite photographs which will be displayed on a giant screen.
“Every one tells a story and they add up to a fascinating revelation about a remarkable chapter in Liverpool FC history,” St John said.
