A BRACE from Danny Owen saw Blacon YC Reserves maintain their two-point lead at the top of the Premier Division with a 3-2 victory at Kydds Athletic.

Brendan Gerrard also chipped in for the table-toppers with Mike Neary and Dan Russell replying for Kydds.

Second-placed Hoole Rangers brushed Waggon and Horses aside with a 4-1 victory, Warren Fowles, Nathan Freeman (2) and Lennox Beddows scoring their goals.

Team Highfield were the day's highest scorers as they defeated Frodsham United 6-2 with goals from Graham Carine (2), Adam Langton (2), Lee Bennion and Jason Gillespie. Kevin Rankin and Barry Bewes replied for United.

There was a hat-trick for Sean Roberts in Duddon United's 5-2 win at Barrow Athletic, while Mark Dutton bagged a brace in Newton Athletic Youth's 3-2 win over Cestrian Alex. Third- placed Tarporley Vics defeated Brewery Arms with goals from Andy Clacker, Adam Walton and Damien Woods.

In Division One, leaders Team Highfield Seconds ran out 3-2 winners at home to Runcorn Albion. Ross Broadbent, Ryan Roddy and Scott Broadbent were on the mark.
