CASTROL Under 10s sparkled in the sunshine as they beat Vicars Cross 3-0.

Conditions at Chester were warm and dry as Castrol took a strong hold of the midfield, with Harrison Jones and Dan Parker winning all the loose balls.

Tom Tarr and man-of-the-match Liam Pearce held the back line well, with goalkeeper Zac Cruickshank pulling off some fine saves to keep a clean sheet.

The Vicars Cross keeper was also doing well to keep the score level until just before half time when Joe Bird hit an unstoppable shot from 25 yards into the top corner.

Castrol picked up where they left off in the second half and were rewarded with a goal from Callum Doyle after fine work from Cory Blaylock.

Bird completed the scoring when he headed in from a corner from Cory Blaylock.
