MARINE and Vauxhall Motors head the pre-season schedule as Halton FC prepare for their new West Cheshire League season.

Two of Merseyside and Cheshire's senior non-league clubs are lined up for friendlies against the Runcorn-based outfit in the coming weeks.

Halton FC held their presentation day at their Picow Farm HQ in a joint venture with Halton Railway FC of the Runcorn Sunday League.

The clubs' award ceremony followed the David Soetendal Memorial Five-a-side competition which was won by DST United, who received the trophy from Mrs Julie Soetendal.

Halton FC honours went to Andrew Dunning (player of the year), Adam Horrocks (players' PoY), Andy Soetendal (clubman) and Neal Percival (most man-of-the-match awards in West Cheshire League games).

Connor Taylor topped an all-star cast at Halton Railway. He took the play-er-of-the-year award.

Barry McCann headed the players' PoY voting while the clubman award went to Bradley Siner.

Pre-season training for Halton FC and Halton Railway FC is at Picow Farm Road, Runcorn, on Saturdays (1pm) and Wednesdays (7pm).

Players wishing to join are invited to attend the next available session or telephone the club secretary on 07931562749 for any further details.
