A HAT-TRICK for Ben Johnson was the highlight of a great 7-0 result for Newton Athletic at home to Upton Blues in the Under 10s Cup.

The triple earned Ben the man-of-the-match award but he was joined on the scoresheet by Josh Robertson and Sean Beals, who scored two each.

Waverton Wasps had a 3-1 win over Upton Blacks thanks to goals from Michael Pino, Will Doerr and Cameron Faulkner. MoM was Seb Dunne. Callum Owen registered for Upton, whose MoM was Chris Hollewell.

Charlie Jones and Ross Lavender earned the points for Boughton as they beat Chester Nomads 2-0. MoM Shane Ellams.

In the U10 Shield, Waverton Bees triumphed over Lache Park 6-3. Connor McGovern-Scott scored a hat-trick, Alistair Marks bagged two and Max Clements finished off, while Lache's Reece Roberts claimed a brace and MoM Ryan McHugh also scored.

Castrol Rangers' Matty Pollard scored three as his side beat Vicars Cross Colts 6-0. Joe Sloan added two and Tom Cox completed the win. MoM was Harry Lee, Marcus Senior taking the Colts award.

Saughall Colts suffered a 5-2 reverse at home to Westminster Park Lions. Lewis Jones and George Ogden got on the scoresheet but MoM Alex Halliwell Dykes (2), Jordan Stevens (2) and Luke Walker tied up the points. Colts' MoM was Elliott Rollins.

In their first ever meeting, Upton Panthers put four past Elton Youth. Panthers' Matt McCaffrey, Tom Spriggs, Tom Cable and MoM Joe Brooks scored while for Elton Youth Joshua Fleming got a consolation. Their MoM was Jamie Leek.

In the U9s Cup, Upton Pumas beat Malpas and District 3-1. MoM Jack Jones scored a brace and Ellis Johnston added the third. Malpas's goal came from Andrew Huxtable, MoM was Adam Hailes.

Waverton Wasps fell 4-1 at home to Upton Panthers. Andrew Boult (2) MoM Lewis Clarke and Austin Turner made sure of the points and Wasps MoM Scott Evans also scored.

Christleton Newscene lost 4-0 to Newton Athletic. Their MoM was Luke Chard.

Jack Lawrence scored as Chester Nomads beat Saughall Colts 1-0. MoM was Harvey France.

In the U9 Shield, Blacon Youth won 5-1 at Upton Jaguars. Ryan MacKay (2), Sonny Dawson (2) and Shaun Shrigley scored Blacon's goals, while MoM Daniel Stroud got Upton's.

William Carter scored twice as Waverton Bees lost 3-1 to Westminster Park Lions. Alex Goldsmith got the other, while MoM was William Pugh.

Star man Jake Shaw's goal earned Westminster Park Tigers a 1-1 draw with Tattenhall.

Waverton Hornets scored through Nicholas Dyne (2) and Joe Layder to beat Castrol Athletic 3-0. MoM was Tom Noble.
