CHESTER'S six-match winning sequence ended at Underhill, but in the high wind both sides would have happily settled for that before the start.

City had their chances to have won again, but strikers Daryl Clare and Darryn Stamp weren't at their best and the Conference's top marksman in all competitions Giuliano Grazioli hardly had a sniff of a chance.

Stamp was guilty of a bad miss on the stroke of half-time when he fired wide from a cross by Chris Lane who was an early substitute for the injured Jamie Heard.

Graziolo had a half chance early in the second half, only to shoot wide and Clre blazed ascross the face of the Barnet goal after carving open the chance himself.

Both sides had problems dealing with the wind and the infamous Underhill slope and one of the few highlights of a scrappy second half was a save with his leg by City goalkeeper Iain Turner when Ben Strevens looked a likely scorer.

Chester: Turner, Collins, McIntyre, Carden, Bolland, Smith (Twiss 61), Clare (Rapley 89), Williams, Stamp, Guyett, Heard (Lane 24). Subs: Woods, Davies.
