WITTON Albion are set to make more signings.

Just when it looked as if manager Jim Vince had completed his summer recruitment, along come to two more players to tempt him.

The first is left back Chris Adams, 30, released by Altrincham, who is discussing terms at the Britannia Carpets Stadium this week.

The second is a striker with a excellent record in non-league, but is as yet unnamed by Vince.

Adams has played for Oldham and Northwich Vics.

Vince said: 'If he signs, Chris will give us flexibility and experience as we are a predominantly 3-5-2 side.

'The forward is top quality and would be a great signing - if we can get him.'

If Vince gets both men it would almost certainly mean a departure or two before the kick off at North Ferriby on Saturday week, especially as he has just enlisted former Crewe Alex academy striker Tristan Hendrix.

The manager said: 'Someone will leave, but we will also be looking to put players out on loan so that they remain part of the club.'

Albion are still seeking a qualified physio and anyone interested can call Vince on 07748 367775.
