AIRBUS UK will attempt to end their Aberystwyth Town hoodoo on the opening day of the season.

The Wingmakers welcome the Black and Greens to the Airfield on Saturday, August 18, looking to record their first victory over them having failed in their previous six attempts.

Airbus, whose stunning late-season form meant they finished a record 12th last time out, will hope to be safe long before the end of the new campaign given their tricky run-in sees take them take on Llanelli, champions The New Saints and Welshpool.

The draw for the Loosemores Challenge Cup - the format for which has been changed to six groups of three with the top teams going through to the quarter-finals along with the two best runners-up - has also been made.

The Wingmakers face TNS and Newi Cefn Druids in Group Three. Their full fixtures are: August 21 - The New Saints (H); September 4 - Newi Cefn Druids (A); October 9 - The New Saints (A); October 23 - Newi Cefn Druids (H).

* The Welsh Premier League's AGM took place in Llandudno on Saturday, when it was revealed that Uefa have raised the bar for clubs seeking to attain their Club License, which is needed to take part in European competition.

Uefa licensed clubs will require a manager with the Uefa Pro License - which no outfit in the league currently has - and an 'A' License coach to run their academies, which must contain at least four age groups - under 10s, U14s and two groups between 15s and 21s.
