Following the arrival of Chris Iwelumo at the Swansway Chester Stadium on Monday, he became the latest player to join the Blues who has experienced life in the Premier League.

This week, we take a look back at some of the other players who have pulled on the blue and white stripes who have taken to the pitch in a competitive fixture in English football's top division.

Some names on the list have appeared with Chester after experiencing life at the highest echelon of the English game, while some have gone on to Premier League stardom following their stint with the Blues.

There are some very recognisable faces in the gallery, players who have forged themselves careers at the very highest level and commanding millions of pounds in transfer funds along the way. There are, however, one or two whose appearances, although fleeting, a English football's top table may come as a surprise to one or two.

Flashback Friday: Premier League Blues
Lee Dixon was a Chester City player long before he was providing respite from Adrian Chiles' presenting of ITV's World Cup coverage. A former England international, Dixon played over 50 times for the Blues at Sealand Road between 1984 and 1985 before eventually moving to Arsenal in 1988. He became a club legend, making over 450 appearances and was a two-time Premier League winner with Arsene Wenger's Gunners.
