THERE were plenty of runs in the North Staffs District League Premier Division's only draw of the day at Weston.

The hosts posted 274-7 declared, thanks to Saad Wasim (108), Asad Shah (42) and Fred Munir (40 not out).

Mo Ahmed (78) and Andy Keates (53no) led the chase for visitors Hanford, but they were pegged back by a 5-102 return by Shah, and they closed on 253-8.

In Meller Braggins League Division Two, bottom side Holmes Chapel were beaten again, this time by visitors Lindow.

Chapel declared on 120-9, but it was a simple task for Lindow who eased to 123-3 and a 20-point win.

Cholmondeley stay top after a classy success at Barnton, who were all out for 153 after making first use.
