A SUPERB 123no from professional Saad Wasim helped Weston to an emphatic nine-wicket win over Endon in Saturday's Senior A clash.

Weston won the toss and elected to bowl first on a damp pitch, and some tight bowling from openers Jonty Minshull and Mohammed Shahid frustrated the Endon batsmen.

Spinner Shahid ended with 3-70 from 27 overs, while a stunning spell of 5-31 off six overs by Wasim at the end of the innings restricted Endon to 195-9 from their 55 overs.

In reply, Weston made an excellent start with an opening stand of 160 between Wasim and Mike Chester (48). They then lost Simon Barratt who retired hurt with a nasty head wound, before Wasim saw them home with overs to spare.

Weston Seconds drew the reverse fixture. Batting first, Endon scored 190-9 from their 55 overs and Weston made 91-4 in reply.
