TATTENHALL face a challenging start to their Cheshire County League campaign, playing host to Warrington and Winnington Park in their first two fixtures.

The Flacca Field men were promoted to Division Two from the Meller Braggins League last season, winning the championship by 23 points from Hale Barns.

After making a key contribution to last season's campaign, overseas player Mick Alexander will be staying in Melbourne this year. He is replaced by Damian Lewis, a 29-year-old opening bowler from Queens Park CC in Trinidad.

Lewis has experience of English conditions, having won the Essex Premier League with Hainault and Clayton CC. Recruitment for Tattenhall has been successful this winter and the club has attracted a number of players, including Paul Ferriday, Luke Heritage, Cliff Nichols, Matt Span and Ed Stoddart.

Tattenhall's junior section is becoming stronger too, with many of the players representing senior sides last summer.
