OULTON Park celebrate their best ever season at their annual presentation night on Friday next week.

The 2004 business was wrapped up at the annual meeting when chairman Roy Ramsbottom remarked that winning the County League aggregate trophy by their three senior teams finishing runners-up, first and runnersup respectively made it a record year.

He added: 'The full benefits of the junior cricket school are now being felt with two-thirds of the players representing the club being products of the school and 13 juniors representing Cheshire.'

He was confident the club would continue to develop, with the continued backing of sponsors Britannia Carpets, Oulton being one of only 200 clubs nationwide chosen as a community club and with work planned on a nursery ground and practice area for the spring.

He was re-elected along with: vice-chairman George Taylor; secretary Stephen Wright; treasurer Mark Johnson; 1st XI captain Stewart Eaton; vice-captain Mike Betham; 2nd XI captain Simon Torlop; vice-captain Johnson; 3rds captain Stuart Macleod; vice-captain Paul Murray.
