Weaverham 237-4 Pott Shrigley 196-9

SKIPPER Rob McMillan posted his maiden home century.

He scored a magnificent 122 not out and was ably supported by Lucas Fraser (66) to continue Weaverham's rapid improvement.

Rob Harrison (24) and Steve Harrison (21) had put on 44 for the first wicket and McMillan took it from there.

Alan Bell, with a season's best 6-40, and McMillan (2-80) made great inroads but the home side were unable to winkle out Pott Shrigley's last man.

But Weaverham 2nds again batted badly and let 49-1 become 99ao at Cheadle Hulme Ladybridge. Brian Rogerson (44) was unaffected.

Ladybridge won at 100-3.

Barrow 195-7 Barnton 191-8 dec

AN innings of stamina and sheer class by Dave Ashley (106) gave Barnton a fighting chance after other wickets fell at regular intervals.

But Barrow scored freely and were 151-1 in double quick time.

A breakthrough barely improved Barnton's chances, but Matt Bebbington - with Barrow needing 30 runs with eight wickets remaining - took a hat-trick in his first over to change the complexion of the game and the home side had to claw their way to victory.
