Castrol 2nds 137-2 (20pts) Chelford 2nds 136ao (7pts): THE Oilmen's second team grabbed their second win from as many games as they bowled out the visitors before easing to an eight-wicket victory.
Home skipper Gordon Hodgson had asked the visitors to bat with Mike Piercy (3-23) making the first breakthrough, forcing Cummins (26) into a mistimed pull shot which looped up into Rupert Milward's hands.
Derek Flanagan (3-22) quickly had Shields (7) caught superbly by Keith Garrett and Ferguson (2) was caught at mid-on attempting a big shot.
Chelford were looking in serious trouble when Shenton was caught behind in a sharp piece of wicket keeping from Ian Evans, again off Flanagan, but a well-timed 50 partnership from middle-order batsmen Sharp (30) and Heath (18) put them back in the driving seat until some fine footwork from Garrett led to Sharp being run out.
Alan Tidman (3-25) then ripped through the middle order, rearranging the stumps of Heath, Doggart (0) and Ogg (0) while Piercy finished the innings, bowling Potts (7) and brilliantly trapping Yoxall (4) lbw.
Castrol set off steadily, chasing 136 runs to win with Evans (19) and Milward (59) adding 46 runs in an excellent first-wicket partnership before the latter was run out in the 19th over.
Steve Jones came to the crease and promptly set about ticking off the 90 remaining runs needed for victory, adding 89 runs with Milward in a fluent second-wicket stand.
Chelford managed to claim one more bonus point when MoM Milward's fine knock of 59 came to an end, with a mistimed shot being snapped up by a gleeful bowler diving at full stretch to claim the ball inches off the ground.
Bob Brancock came in and hit the winning runs with a fine shot past the bowler.
