KINGSLEY continued their poor run of form with another defeat away at high flyers Chester County Officers.

Chester won the toss and chose to bat on a perfect wicket. Without usual opening bowler Burden, Storey (2-44) joined Massey to open the attack for Kingsley, and was rewarded getting Rowlands in his first spell.

With Chester going nicely, Massey and Storey were replaced by Hendry (2-50) and Ainsworth (4-24). Ainsworth bowled superbly and removed potential danger man Hattersley (37).

Hendry then claimed 2 in 2 balls to put Chester under pressure, but superb batting by I Barlow (46) allowed Chester to get a total of 175-9 off their 48 overs.

Elliott got Kingsley's innings off to a flyer, but soon fell to Clarke (3-49).

The visitors were going along nicely with the run-rate, with all

However, wickets kept falling at regular occasions and Kingsley found themselves at 56-4. Harrison (26) was the pick of the batsmen, showing some resistance to the Chester attack. A Barlow (4-35) then polished off the Kingsley tail with some good swing bowling. The visitors were eventually bowled out for 114.

Kingsley are looking to get back to winning ways at Wistaston next weekend.
