MOORFIELD travelled to Cheshire Alliance Division Two newcomers Charnock Richard to record a disappointing draw.
Moorfield lost the toss and were forced to bowl.
Charnock were thankful to opener Nick Kershaw who scored 79 and was ably supported by most of his team-mates, as the home side mustered 167 all out off 50 overs. Moorfield spinner Rob Magee took an excellent 6 for 47 off 14 overs
After Tea, Moorfield struggled with some steady home bowling. Moorfield vice-captain John Eccleshall chipped in with 24, Skipper Ste Dean scored 19 and number seven Graeme Abbott top scored with a creditable 47 as the Widnes visitors struggled to 147 for 9 at the close of play to record another draw.
