SANDBACH moved off the bottom of the Division One table with a timely five-wicket win at Stretton on Saturday.
Stretton had posted 188-9 in their innings but an excellent 58 from Andy Williams helped Sandbach successfully chase down the runs as they reached 189-5.
Aston crashed to a 126-run defeat at league leaders Castrol.
The hosts amassed 215-5 before making their declaration with only Andy Leese's 3-88 making any real inroads for the Aston attack.
D Walters then grabbed 5-22 and J Ball 4-30 as Aston were dismissed for just 89.
In Division Two, Wistaston Village enjoyed a four-wicket win at Heaton Mersey Village.
Heaton were dismissed for 110 with J Hogben taking 3-16 and A Sidie 3-58. D Thomas hit 35 as Wistaston made a winning reply of 111-6.
Bunbury stayed top after a good win at Glazebury, while Audlem's batsmen turned in a better performance but their team suffered another defeat at home to Frod-sham.
C Thompson (39no) and J Siddorns (32) top-scored in Audlem's 165 but Frodsham had earlier been dismissed for 198.
