KINGSLEY Cricket Club's grant application for a new mower for the cricket square has been successful.

An award of £1,716 has been made by the Foundation for Sport and the Arts towards the total cost of £2,300.

Head groundsman Anthony Alderman is delighted by the news, saying he will be able to prepare even better wickets.

The club is organising a Cricket Force Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, April 2-3, in conjunction with the England and Wales Cricket Board to carry out improvements at their Croft ground.
