KINGSLEY 2nds made the trip to Ellesmere Port in what proved to be a tough game for the villagers.

Ellesmere batted well through a difficult period with Heaps hitting 54.

Heaps was then trapped leg before and wickets began to fall. Leadbetter (30) then joined Peers (25no) and hit some lusty blows at the back end of the innings to put the home side in control with 190-7 being scored in their innings.

Kitchen (3-37) was the pick on the Kingsley bowlers.

Kingsley did not start well and slumped to 46-4 with Welsh (5-39) getting all the wickets. When Ashley went with the score on 70, Kingsley still had 17 overs. Hendry (29no) joined Rowland (31no) in the middle, and the two saw it out for the draw finishing on 132-5.
