WESTON slid to a heavy home defeat as Silverdale ace Nasir Khan returned remarkable figures of 9-33 from 20.2 overs on Saturday.

Khan's incredible showing in the North Staffs and District League Senior A saw the hosts slump to 80ao in reply to the visitors' score of 208-7(dec), in which Khan hit 45 and Mick Moore 56. Paul Newnes took 4-56 for Weston.

In the Meller Braggins League Division Two, Cholmondeley took a 25-point haul after trouncing Lindow on their own patch.

The visitors posted 208-8(dec) and it proved too much for the home side, who were all out for 135 in their reply.

Holmes Chapel fell just four runs short of victory in a creditable draw with Trafford MV. The visitors declared on 206-6, leaving Chapel a difficult task. They nearly made it but had to settle for a share of the spoils on 203-8.
