JONNY Kettle and Jimmy Guest, still juniors, have both forced themselves into the first-team squad of Cheshire double champions Oulton Park.

Kettle, who joined from Winsford, and Guest have emerged from the seconds and will figure in the Little Budworth club's defence of both the County League title and Cheshire Cup.

Both are 17 and Craig Williamson, who is the same age, is also expected to make the selection.

Former captain Stewart Eaton, batsman Paul Berry and spin bowler Danny Jones have all left for Lancashire League cricket. So far Oulton's only first-team recruit is bowler Guy Emmett from rivals Bowdon.

Mark Johnson remains captain of the 2nd XI, but the 3rds are led by new skipper Ian Murray.

Players of all ages and ability who wish to join Oulton Park - and sponsors, social members or spectators requiring information about the club - can contact manager Jim DuMayne at j.dumayne@talktalk.net or visit www.oultonpark.play-cricket.com
