Sir Ian Botham, an internationally recognised personality has, at various times in his career, been a professional footballer, cricketer, charity fundraiser and television commentator.

Since his retirement from cricket, he has continued his involvement in the game joining the commentary team for Sky Sports cricket, as a columnist for the Daily Mirror and as President of the Professional Cricketers Association. Ian was awarded the OBE for his services to cricket and charity in 1992 and awarded a knighthood in 2008.
