GIRL'S coaching at Middlewich CC is attracting more youngsters.

Coach Judith Edge, who lives near the Haddon Field ground, is working with an increasing number of under-11 girls.

Chairman Richard Goulding said: 'There is a desire in the county to increase girls' participation in cricket and we have the ideal set up.'

Newcomers are welcome and Edge is also keen to appoint other female coaches to develop the girls section further. Middlewich hope to arrange friend-lies for the girls this season.

Outdoor nets for U-11 boys and girls begin on April 17 (6.30-8pm).

Middlewich aim to make Tuesday a family evening with parents helping coaches or enjoying a social evening at the club.
