LEE Fawcett produced a masterclass of fishing to clinch victory at the Saltney Social AC match on the Milton Green Fishery.

His catch of carp weighing 21-6-0 just beat Ray Gillam with similar for 21-4-0.

Mark Greasley stormed to first place in the Chester Police AC match on the national length of the River Weaver.

He took roach and skimmers to reach 11-7-0 ahead of John Booth with 8-9-0 of the same.

In the Chester Police Flyfishers match on the Penycae reservoir, Jim Fryer stole the show as he took rainbows to weigh 9-2-0.

Top weigher in the midweek Tuesday Rovers AC match was Wendy Locker who took a bit of everything for 64-12-0 on rock pools at Hampton Springs Fishery.

Leader in the Neston Match Anglers match fished on the Milton Green Fishery was Barry Davies. His 36-0-0 catch of carp edging out Eddy Evanson's 31-2-0.

Colin Owen won the day in a match of only two weighers in the Railway Barrow AC match on Manley Mere.

He took 9-0-0 to beat Trevor Roberts with a 3-0-0 carp.

Peter Nelson won the Willaston AC match on the Shropshire Union Canal at Waverton. He put a 9-7-0 on to the scales to beat Wayne Jevons with a similar catch for 7-9-0.

Ron Evans again won the day in the Grosvenor Estate AC match on stock ponds on the Eaton Estate. He took a small carp to weigh 17-12-0 edging out Danny Mort (15-0-0).

Steve Barwise rose to the challenge to win the Lavister AC match on the Weston Pools Fishery. He ended with carp and goldfish to weigh 29-2-0 to beat Stuart Price (23-9-0).

Paul Spencer was top rod in the Egerton Arms AC match on the River Dee at Holt. A 4-14-0 catch of chub put him ahead of Paul Morrelle on 1-6-0.

First place went to Les Picken in the midweek Burton Mere Fishery open match as he weighed in with 35-8-0 ahead of Dave Lawrence with 30-9-0.

Geoff Dentith (31-2-0) was the man of the match in the Wednesday contest on the Tarvin Sands Fishery while in the Saturday match on the same venue Adrian Bell (63-0-0) emerged triumphant.

In the Wednesday evening match hosted by Lobol AC, fished on their Priory Pool, Ron Hill (18-0-0) was the winner while Geoff Selby (35-14-0) won their Saturday match on the Hampton Springs Fishery.

John Bristow won Manley AC's midweek match on the Manley Springs Fishery. He took 17-2-0 to beat Eddy Day with 15-2-0 while in their Saturday match fished on Mouldsworth Mere, Mark Davies was top rod with 15-0-0.

Ian Roberts (6-0-0) won the Tarporley AA match on Cotebrook Mill Pool while Alan Roberts (15-10-0) triumphed in the Malpas AS match on Woodside Pool.
