NORTHWICH company Britannia Carpets has struck another two-year sponsorship deal with County Leaguers Oulton Park - and has increased its backing by 50%.

The extra money is to help meet the cost of sending professional coaches into the eight schools in the Little Budworth club's catchment area. A knockout between the schools will also be arranged.

Britannia proprietor Dave Price met some of the club's promising youngsters on Saturday.

Oulton's cricket school steered 12 juniors to county honours last season and two have gone on to the Lancashire Cricket Academy and the Talented Athletes Scheme.

What's more, Oulton have been selected as one of 200 community development clubs nationwide by the ECB and are extending their ground accordingly.
