HALE came off better in the draw at Wallasey, taking nine points to bottom-placed Parkfield 2nd's seven.
Skipper Robbie Morris elected to bat but Hale slumped to 18-2 before Peter Withers came in. He hit his first delivery for four to set the tone for the rest of his innings. He and Morris took the score to 72 before falling to a great catch, having made 31 in 28 balls.
Morris went caught and bowled for a valuable 26 runs.
At 72-4, Ste Morgan joined Gareth Hatton. But Morgan was bowled for 23 and Ian Dutton made only seven.
Hatton reached 50 in 61 balls and Wayne Burgess made 37 in just under an hour in an 86-run partnership.
Morris declared on an impressive 219-7 wickets. Hatton was 74no.
Parkfield's scoring rate started slowly but Keogh and Ratcliffe pushed them to 28-2. A half-century from Smith in 67 balls took Parkfield to 155-4.
Moorfield went 18 points clear in the Merseyside/Southport Alliance with a win at home to Liverpool NALGO.
Skipper John Eccleshall, electing to bat, saw his side lose three wickets for just two runs. But Wayne Lamey took NALGO apart.
Supported by Neil Maher (14), Danny Naughton (10) and John Eccleshall (35), Lamey smashed 84 before being stumped. Rob Yearsley made 19 as the home team were out for 190.
Moorfield opening bowler Neil Maher (6-42 in 17 overs) devastated NALGO. Legspinner Danny Naughton took 3-0 as the visitors were dismissed for 97.
Moorfield 2nd were held by Merseyside Commonwealth CC at Mossley Hill.
The home side amassed 190-6 before the Widnesians scored 133-8 (Alan Aspey and Graham Abbott 30 each).
Moorfield 3rd restricted Frodsham CC to 135 all out before amassing 137-3.
