CHRISTLETON battled out a draw with Oulton Park in Division Two of the County League.

Valuable innings from Ric Moore (39), Andrew Mills (25), Patrick Roberts (31), Martin East (23) and Craig Williamson (26no) saw Park rack up a score of 183-8 at Little Heath on Saturday.

Varon Sood bagged 4-55 for the hosts, who struggled to make progress in their reply thanks to an excellent bowling spell from Guy Emmett (2-22) and Moore (3-35).

But Christleton refused to crumble and they earned a draw with 112-8, Josh Morgan-Jones making an unbeaten 23.

In the Premier Division, CHESTER BOUGHTON HALL’S mixed season continued with a 52-run loss at Macclesfield.

In a match which lost only six overs to rain, Khalid Sawa(68) and Rick Hough (65) top-scored in Macc’s useful 189-5.

Boughton Hall replied with 137, Lee Dixon being last out for a defiant 87.

The wickets were shared between Jack Ward (3-16), Craig Melrose (3-40) and Ian Tait (3-45).

After NESTON’S county-wide journey, Hyde made great efforts to get their ground fit. However, standing water in the outfield meant the fixture was cancelled.
