SUPERB bowling and fielding were the features of a low scoring draw at the Flacca as Tattenhall held out on 110-9 in reply to Warrington’s 130-8 off 50 overs.

Choosing to field first on a green but well grassed pitch, Tattenhall bowled with great accuracy. Alan Brock (2-17 from 12 overs) and skipper Robin Mulvihill were supported later on by Dan Power (3-18).

Warrington owed their respectable total to a painstaking partnership between Chris Kirby (27) and Paul Farrar (48).

Tattenhall’s reply was wrecked by the bowling of Kyle Adams (7-37 off 21 overs), slumping to 28-6 and then 57-8.

However, Mulvihill played with relative freedom against the tiring Adams to make 29. Gibbon (32no) and Brock then dug in to claim a draw with five points to Warrington's nine.

Elsewhere in Division Two of the Vivio County League, ALVANLEY slipped to defeat at Irby.

The Wirral hosts batted first and posted

207-8, Greg Shillinglaw top-scoring with 45 as David Shewring bagging excellent figures of 5-50.

Alvanley, however, were dismissed for 159 (Shillinglaw 4-20, T Gibson 4-46).
