ASTON dominated their derby duel with Sandbach to claim their first win of the season.
Andy Leese picked up 5-12 and Phil Little 2-23 as Sandbach were skittled for just 87, with half of their batsmen falling leg before wicket. Captain Derek Wright led the victory charge with an unbeaten 41 and youngster Michael Forrester added an undefeated 28 to see Aston home by nine wickets.
Aston should be boosted for Saturday's trip to Langley by the arrival of Indian fast bowler Abdul Monayem, who has been a professional with Widnes for the past few seasons.
In Division Two, Wistaston Village claimed a five-wicket win over Appleton.
The visitors were dismissed for 89 with D Titus returning 4-25 and K Thornhill 3-19. D Thomas top scored with 41 as Wistaston reached a winning 90-5.
M Ryder hit a superb unbeaten century as Bunbury drew at Stalybridge St Pauls.
Ryder smashed 107 not out as Bun-bury amassed 210-6, but the home batsmen also enjoyed a good wicket to stave off defeat by finishing on 169- 6.
Audlem found the going tough at home to Hartford. They were dismissed for just 90 - with Steve Swallow top scoring on 22, with the 'extras' column the next best on 21! N Hart then steered Hartford to victory with an undefeated 57 as the visitors reached a winning 91-3. James Siddorns took 2-24 and C Goulding 1-9.
This Saturday, Audlem have a derby date at home to Wistaston Village (2pm).
