Heavy rain has led to Chester FC being forced to cancel tomorrow night's planned match with Leeds United.

Championship club Leeds had been due to send a development side to the Swansway Chester Stadium for the game.

Blues boss Neil Young was keen to give his players a run out having seen the New Year's Day clash with Southport fall victim to the weather.

But with the pitch feeling the effects of the wet weather over the past few days and more rain forecast, the club had no option but to call the game off.

Young's side are not due back in action until the Cheshire Cup game at Runcorn Town on Monday, January 13. The next Skrill Premier game is at home to Barnet on Saturday, January 18.
